Earlier, Myanmar Home Minister Yar Paye visited China. At that time, Beijing gave military aid to Nay Pyi Taw worth 700,000 dollars.

Insurgent groups resisted Myanmar’s junta government to restore democracy. The rebels launched Operation Ten Twenty Seven against the military in October last year. Occupied most of the territory of Myanmar.

The junta government is desperate to increase the strength of the embattled military. In this situation, visiting China, Defense Minister of the junta government Tin Aung San sought cooperation from Beijing.

He visited the military equipment manufacturers in Beijing. Defense Minister of the Myanmar junta expressed the hope of getting drones and air defense systems from China. The defense ministers of the two countries also discussed the cross-border issue.

Earlier, the interior minister of the junta government visited China. At that time Myanmar junta signed 2 memorandum of understanding with Beijing. Meanwhile, Sino-Myanmar has pledged to provide $700,000 worth of military equipment as well as building cooperative relations between Beijing and Naypyidaw’s security forces.

Ahead of the two Myanmar junta ministers’ visit to China, Beijing’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Nay Pyi Taw. In a meeting with China’s foreign minister, the junta chief accused Myanmar resistance fighters of using Chinese weapons.

Myanmar’s rebel groups then made similar accusations against Beijing. They claim that the Myanmar junta is carrying out barbaric attacks on the country’s civilians using Chinese weapons.

Meanwhile, the UN report says that from April 2023 to June this year, the junta forces killed 2,414 civilians, including 334 children. Half of them died in the air strikes of the junta.
