Former Australian cricket great Glenn McGrath has called on captain Pat Cummins to use psychological tactics to gain an upper hand against India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Referring to India’s recent 3-0 series defeat to New Zealand under Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s poor form with the bat, McGrath suggested these setbacks could be used as “ammunition” to put mental pressure on the Indian team.

He emphasized the importance of targeting Kohli early in the series, describing him as “emotional” and vulnerable under pressure. McGrath also underlined the significance of the first Test, predicting that an early dismissal of Kohli could set the tone for the series.

The highly anticipated five-Test series begins on November 22 in Perth, with McGrath expressing confidence in Australia’s chances to dominate their rivals and reclaim their standing in the cricketing world.
