It is said that this work for Pilar Boch cannot be said to have started suddenly. 2008 incident. He was doing his Ph.D. His mother, Pilar Rose, was then working on the restoration of eighteenth-century frescoes on an ancient church in Valencia, Spain.

At that time, he suddenly saw a paper one day and was shocked. There were bacteria on the paper, which Pilar Boch thought could be used to restore the mural.

42-year-old Pilar Boch said, ‘Work was very difficult for my mother. I discovered some bacteria while doing mural restoration work in Italy. This time probably the work will be easier.

Pilar Boch’s PhD has already been completed. More than a decade later, daughter and mother recently joined a project to restore the frescoes of a church in Valencia. This work will cost $4.46 million from local funds.

Microbiologists first train bacteria by feeding them samples of glue made from animal collagen. The bacteria then naturally produce enzymes to break down the glue.
