He applied to the supervisor for sick leave. But he did not grant leave. Finally, a 30-year-old worker from Thailand died after being taken to the hospital after fainting at work. The incident took place in Samut Prakan province, south of Bangkok.

Indian media Hindustan Times reported that the female worker named May worked in an electronics factory owned by Thailand’s Delta Electronics Company.

The Bangkok Post reported that the sick female worker had been suffering from stomach problems for a long time and was receiving treatment. In the meantime, he became seriously ill and was hospitalized for four days. The doctor told him to take treatment for two more days. He took leave from 5–9 September for that treatment.

Later on September 12, when he became very ill, he asked the supervisor for leave. But the supervisor rejected his request for leave. As a result, he continued to work in sick condition. About 20 minutes later, he collapsed on the factory floor.

May was rushed to a nearby hospital almost immediately. The doctor performed an emergency operation on him. But in the end he could not be saved. The doctor said that he died of complications of necrotizing enterocolitis.
